When the Greyhound was an hour from the city, Corey pulled out his phone to give Sandy a call. He knew Damien would be meeting him as soon as he got in, but he wanted to see where she was going to be that night. He was really anxious to see her again. He pulled up her number in his phone and hit send, holding the phone to his ear.

Sandy was lazying around on the couch. Friend had come through and said that they didn't need her to work, Eddie was out of town at some kind of educational conference, and she had the apartment to herself. When she heard the phone ring, she only hesitated long enough to finish chewing, before pushing herself up on her elbows as she answered the phone. "Hello?"

Corey smiled slightly at the sound of her voice. "Hey, it's Corey."

"Hey," she grinned, sitting up a little more. "How's the bus ride?"

"It's okay. I'm ready to get off. Which I will be in about an hour."

"Hour away -- somewhere in Jersey, then?"

"I guess? It's dark, I really don't know where we are."

"Has to be Jersey if you're coming from Florida. But good for being here in an hour. My evening happens to be remarkably open."

"I'm glad to hear that. I have to spend some time with Damien. If you want you could meet us somewhere, or I could just come see you later on."

How has LJ changed your life?
I think so. It's allowed me to reach out and shove myself on a whole new group of people. And they liked having themselves shoved at!

What do you do before bedtime?
Take a shower, wash off the stage make-up, and then go collapse in bed. I work nights, so I don't have time for much more than that.

What will your dream wedding be like?
My parents not spending the entire time fighting with me about my choice. Otherwise, lots of flowers.

Due to RL constraints and a quiet muse, Sandy is going RP only. I've pulled her from the couple of prompt communities she was in, and while I may post the occasional ficlet or meme that interests her here, she won't be responding to the prompts on a regular basis anymore. I don't really have the time to keep up the way I should and there are louder voices in my head at the moment that are screaming to be heard, so -- Sandy's been pushed to the background a bit.

If she comes back, louder than she was before, I'll maybe pick her up and put her into some communities again, but otherwise, she'll only be available for RP.

Things That Drive You Crazy About Men:

- When they get overprotective, and expect you to change certain things about your life, just because you're with them
- The fact that they can't keep it in their pants sometimes.
- The fact that they blame not being able to keep it in their pants on their gender.
- "Bros over Hos" -- really, don't get me started. Especially when the guy was the one that fucked up.
- Sex. When it's bad, it's just bad.
- When they care more about their appearance than I do about mine.
- The fact that I don't have one at the moment.

- Shoulders. I love a good set of shoulders.
- And hands. Particularly if they have piano player hands.
- They're nice to cuddle up with.
- And they totally all love to cuddle, even if they don't admit it.
- Okay, I know we're supposed to live in an empowered society and all, but there's something seriously sexy about a guy who's protective of you. Not over protective, mind you -- but just enough so that you know he cares without actually having to get him to say it.
- Most of them have no problem doing something stupid or silly to get you to laugh when you're having a bad night.
- Sex. When it's good? It's good.
- They don't want to analyze your every emotion (for the most part). They'll listen, but they won't try and fix you when you don't want to be fixed.
- The silly macho things they do to try and impress you.

Admittedly, I mostly go on YouTube for music. Therefore, a lot of these are performances that I've loved. But, we'll start with one that isn't music.

- Presidential Montage from Live Free or Die Hard - I swear that gets creepier every time I see it. Whoever came up with it, it was a good one.

- In a Dream - Bo Bice - This was the quintessential Idol moment for me. A performance on that show hasn't impacted me the same way since. (This was back in season 4, I think -- before I started to detest it. I think I stopped watching after this season.)

- Mystery - Hugh Laurie - Hugh Laurie is so fantastic. Every time I see him, I fall a little more in love with him. Seriously.

- I'm Fucking Ben Affleck - Jimmy Kimmel and his cast of celebrities - I liked the Sarah Silverman one too, but come on. Jimmy killed on this one. There's no way Sarah's topped that one. I mean, Jimmy got Josh Groban.

- Hugh Grant dancing in Love Actually - What can I say -- Hugh's got a cute butt.
